Job Summary

Waste Management is seeking skilled and safety-focused Truck Drivers to operate various types of waste and recycling collection vehicles. This role is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of waste and recyclables to designated disposal or recycling facilities. Drivers play a vital role in ensuring reliable service delivery while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a range of trucks and heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, roll-offs, and compactors, as assigned.

• Collect and transport waste and recyclable materials according to established schedules and routes.

• Follow all safety protocols during waste collection and transportation activities.

• Collaborate with dispatchers and route managers to resolve route-related issues and maximize efficiency.

• Perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.

• Accurately complete and manage route logs, work orders, and condition reports.

• Comply with all local, state, and federal safety regulations related to vehicle operation and waste handling.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.

• Prior experience as a commercial truck driver is essential.

• Proficiency in operating heavy-duty trucks and handling potentially hazardous materials.

• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in waste management.

• Physically able to perform lifting, bending, and equipment handling tasks.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
